Mandy is one of the long-standing members of our team of facilitators, valued not just for the expertise she brings, but for her commitment and loyalty to our business since 1994. Mandy facilitates programmes and plays a key role in the development of new programme material and methods, as well as keeping us in line with all the SETA requirements. She is our writing skills expert – we wouldn't dream of creating any important document without having her check the grammar!

To give you an idea of the sheer gutzpah of this tiny blonde... When Lauren decided she wanted to see the world a couple of years ago, she packed her bags and went on her own to Rio, Argentina, Australia and the USA. She came back with adventure stories ranging from nights spent in the Rio Favelas, to sneaking into the Starbucks staff induction day and shaking hands with the CEO of Starbucks International.

Cinzia is without doubt the voice of our business, and what a wonderful voice it is. From one day to the next, her mood and manner consistently reflect real care and concern, and genuine delight in serving the needs of others. Other than handling all incoming calls, and attending to people who come to our offices, Cinzia also co-ordinates programmes and supports our Bookkeeper.

The level of organisation involved in staging the programmes we run each month requires someone who can really focus, get assertive at times, and make sure all the t's are crossed and the i's dotted. You will find no better than our co-ordinator-in-chief, Debbie.

On the flip side of her work style is her social style... It would be hard to find a more dedicated party animal when the timing's appropriate. That's why she's also our 'social director', and can be relied on to find the right entertainment when we need to have play time.
When asked to describe her perfect day, she described it like this: “lying in a hammock between two palm tress with crystal clear water lapping the white sand underneath me... Ok, preferably with a handsome chap in the hammock next to me and a cocktail in my hand”

A business is only as good as its bookkeeper! If that's not a real quote it should be one. Nora, in her quiet, methodical but firm manner, makes sure that our invoices are paid on time, that the books balance, the bank account is in good condition, and that none of us over-spends the BPG budget.

When any of the team needs sound advice, or even just a listening ear, Nora is the person we turn to. A person of great integrity, who will always honour confidentiality, Nora is loved and trusted by us all. She also happens to be very glamorous... with just a hint now and then of a wild side (a hippy stage?) from her youth.
Nora loves nothing more than a brisk walk along the beach to Fishhoek for a fresh swim really early on a summer morning ... before the crowds arrive and spoil it all!

Andrew is legend with BPG. He is in his eighties yet refuses to consider retirement. A perfect gentleman, Andrew is a living, breathing example of service excellence.

His role with us includes being commander-in-chief of the digital camera that photoreduces all the Participlan sheets after a programme. He has this down to a fine art!
Andy is first to arrive at the office in the morning, because he insists on it. When we get here, the lights are on, the coffee's on the boil, and with him around, there's a sense of arriving home!

'An army marches on its stomach', and Flora understands this too well. If anyone could get a medal for feeding the hungry, it would be Flora. She eagerly supplies tea and toast to the BPG team, to ensure we are energised to do what we have to do!
